TITLE: APPROVE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER’S REPORT FOR MONTH OF JANUARY 2020

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has submitted monthly reports; and
WHEREAS, the Township Clerk has submitted the reports to the Township Council for their approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
The Chief Financial Officer's monthly report for January 2020 is hereby approved.
Copies of this Resolution to Treasurer, Administrator, Township Attorney, and any other interested parties.

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously advertised for the receipt of bids on February 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. for the purchase of a Ford Transit 250 vehicle for the Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place for the receipt of bids, the following bid was submitted for this proposed work:

Sands Ford of Red Hill 35,999.00
; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-6.1, any purchases, contracts or agreements which require public advertisement for bids shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, said bid was reviewed by Veronica Dingle, QPA; and
WHEREAS, Veronica Dingle, QPA, Purchasing Agent is requesting the Township Council reject the bid pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2(b) which permits a contracting unit to reject bids if the lowest bid substantially exceeds the contracting unit's appropriation for the project; and
