CHILDCARE

AIM has partnered with the Saratoga Regional YMCA to offer childcare to AIM legacy employees at a reduced rate through the Saratoga Regional YMCA’s Day Care and before and after school programs. For full-time legacy employees (non-self-hired), AIM will pay half of the cost of childcare for each child of a qualifying employee. AIM will pay the Saratoga Regional YMCA directly. This benefit is subject to approval in AIM’s annual budget each year and the number of reimbursed employees and/or spots may be capped on an annual basis.

Childcare spots are on a first come first serve basis, based on availability dictated by the Saratoga Regional YMCA. Childcare spots are not guaranteed. To inquire about open childcare spots or to place your child on the waitlist, please contact the Saratoga Regional YMCA directly. If you are planning to use the Saratoga Regional YMCA's childcare program, please contact AIM's Human Resources Department for further information.

This benefit does not include Saratoga Regional YMCA summer camps or preschool programs.

VIII. PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Employee's clothing that is damaged or destroyed in the course of employment, through no fault of the employee, will be repaired or replaced by the agency. Staff are not to bring personal items such as jewelry, electronics, etc. to work. These items, in addition to purses and personal money, are the sole responsibility of their owners and possession of these items while on duty is at the owner's risk. AIM will not be responsible for loss or damage to such items.

IX. SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT

Tobacco use, including vaping, inside any program and in any agency vehicle is strictly prohibited. Tobacco use is allowed outdoors on the grounds where residential and day services programs are located and at the main office, but only in designated smoking areas. The designated smoking areas are identified by the location of the agency provided and approved smoking remnant receptacles. Staff may not use Tobacco products within 30 feet of an AIM program. If 30 feet is not feasible, staff must be as far from the building (while still on AIM property) as is practical when using tobacco products. Staff may not use smoking receptacles for disposing of any items/trash other than for the sole intended use of cigarette butts.

X. REMOTE WORK

Remote work allows an employee to work at home, on the road, or in a satellite location for all or part of their regular workweek. Remote work is an in-person work alternative that may be appropriate for some employees and some jobs. It is not an entitlement and it, in no way, changes expectations or job responsibilities. Working remotely can be informal, such as working from home for a short-term project or on the road during business travel, or formal, as a long-term or permanent work status. Other informal, short-term arrangements may be made for employees on family or medical leave, to the extent practical for the employee and the organization, and with the consent of the employee's health care provider, if appropriate. All informal remote work arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis, based on the needs of the agency and the people we serve.

  • In instances where working remotely is requested or necessitated on a long-term or permanent basis, Human Resources will work with the employee's supervisor to assess the viability of remote work and make a determination as to whether it is appropriate. The Director of Human Resources and the employee's direct supervisor will agree on the remote work schedule the employee will customarily maintain and the manner and frequency of communication with their supervisor. The employee agrees to be accessible by phone or email within a reasonable time
