Employees traveling overnight or for multiple days should maintain regular communication with their supervisor and promptly report any emergency, accident, injury, or significant disruption affecting travel plans.

All expenses incurred must be submitted to the agency along with receipts within 30 days of the date of the expenditure.

V. STAFF DEVELOPMENT

CONTINUING EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL TIME

Employees may be allowed time, at their AIM’s discretion, to attend community workshops, seminars, conferences, etc., in order to enhance their knowledge, skills and expertise in their chosen field of work at AIM. This time must have prior approval and the time spent may be paid in accordance with applicable law.

OPWDD Supports & Services - MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION

All direct support staff, whose role requires it, will complete the New York State Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Approved Medication Administration Course.

VI. REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM

Any eligible non-self-hired employee who refers a qualified applicant who AIM hires in a non-self-hired position (“Referred Employee”) shall be eligible to receive a three-hundred-dollar ($300.00) bonus (“Referral Bonus”). The Referral Bonus is earned and paid at the end of the second pay period following the Referred Employee’s date of hire, provided the Referred Employee remains employed through that time. The Referral Bonus will be subject to applicable federal and state withholdings.

Should the Referred Employee not remain employed through the close of the second pay period following their hire, the Referral Bonus will not be earned or paid.

To be eligible to receive the Referral Bonus described above, the referring employee must be employed by AIM when the bonus is earned. The Referred Employee must record the name of the employee who referred them for employment on their employment application. If no employee is identified on the Referred Employee's application, no bonus will be paid.

VII. ADDITIONAL FULL-TIME BENEFITS

TUITION ASSISTANCE

AIM Services, Inc., at our sole discretion, may authorize a fixed dollar amount per year for reimbursement of tuition expenses. Non-self-hired employees in good standing may be eligible to apply for reimbursement, up to an authorized amount, for courses successfully completed, and pertinent to one's job. Due to the fiscal impact of this benefit, its continuance is reviewed annually as part of AIM's budget.

PAID TIME OFF (PTO)

Traditional/Legacy employees may NOT take more than two (2) weeks total of PTO between June 15th and September 15th of the calendar year.

ACCRUED TIME DONATION

Full-time employees may request to donate a portion of their unused PTO hours to another full-time employee who would otherwise be out of work without pay due to an FMLA or emergency/extenuating circumstance. Criteria and procedure are available by contacting the Human Resources Department.
