timekeeping or pay should be directed to Payroll or Human Resources. Altering, falsifying and tampering with time records is prohibited and subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Nonexempt employees must record all actual time worked in the electronic system assigned to their role, including required start, stop, meal, and transfer entries. Employees must review and submit their timecard each week by Sunday at noon; employees working an overnight shift from Saturday into Sunday must review it after the shift ends. Missing punches and other errors must be reported immediately to the employee's supervisor or, for self-hired staff, the Self-Direction Payroll Department. AIM will pay employees for all time worked, but inaccurate, late, falsified, or unauthorized time entries may result in corrective action, up to and including termination.
AIM's work week begins on Sunday at 12:00 a.m. and ends Saturday at 11:59 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Employees are paid every two weeks and may receive pay through direct deposit or a pay card.
Required deductions will be withheld from employee paychecks in accordance with applicable law. These deductions may include federal, state, and local income taxes; FICA taxes for Social Security and Medicare; employee contributions for New York statutory disability and Paid Family Leave coverage, when applicable; and any other deductions required by law.
Income-tax withholding is based on the federal, state, and local withholding forms and elections the employee provides to AIM, as applicable. Employees are responsible for submitting accurate and current forms and should notify Payroll when a change in personal circumstances requires updated withholding elections.
Deductions will be based on employees' voluntary participation in any agency sponsored plans or programs and shall be limited to those deductions permitted by law.
General Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, unless otherwise authorized or required. On-Call staff are available for all non-office hours.
Schedules for all administrative employees are established by Administration based on agency needs and/or the needs of the people we serve. Flexibility, as needed, is expected of all staff.
Hours and days are established to meet the needs of the agency/people we serve. For self-hired staff, schedules are established by the person receiving services and/or their family. Due to the nature of services provided, schedules may require adjusting from time to time to accommodate the needs of the people we serve. All attempts will be made to give reasonable notice of temporary hours, day or program changes. Should it be necessary to reassign an employee's regular schedule, two weeks' notice will be given, unless contraindicated. Non-self-hired employees are required to support at other sites and in other programs, as needed/requested.
