Self-hired staff in Self-Direction are recruited and hired by the person receiving services and their circle of support. Self-hired staff who wish to pick up additional hours or change who they are working with must ask to be placed on the Self-Direction pool list.
O. SOLICITATION AND DISTRIBUTION
Solicitation about outside activities, organizations, or causes can disrupt services and pressure coworkers. No employee shall solicit or promote support for any cause or organization during their working time or the working time of the employee or employees at whom the activity is directed. The distribution of material is not allowed in work areas at any time, during an employee's working time, or during the working time of the employee or employees at whom the activity is directed.
This policy extends to solicitation and distribution via the agency's e-mail and telephone systems, posting on bulletin boards, etc. This policy does not restrict agency-sponsored and administered activities or initiatives. Violations of this policy should be reported to your supervisor or the Human Resources Department.
P. STATEMENTS TO THE MEDIA
Only the Chief Executive Officer or an authorized designee may make or approve public statements on behalf of AIM. Employees must refer media inquiries to the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
III. PAY PRACTICES
A. PAY RATE
It is AIM’s philosophy to provide employees with pay rates that are comparable with similar positions in the community, based on available funding. Employees are assigned a pay rate at time of hire. Employees may receive wage increases, including merit increases, when it is financially feasible for the agency to do so.
For self-hired staff under the Self-Direction co-employment model, the person receiving services will determine rates of pay for their staff within the allowable parameters established by the Self-Direction guidance, the person's budget, and AIM Services, Inc. For self-hired staff, the Notice of Employment (NOE) will clearly identify the established rate of pay for each person the staff is supporting.
B. TIMEKEEPING POLICY
It is the policy of AIM Services, Inc. to apply fair and consistent pay practices to all employees. AIM uses electronic systems to record work time and payroll information. Employees must follow the instructions for the system assigned to their role.
Nonexempt employees must record their actual time worked for payroll and benefit purposes in accordance with the following:
Punch in immediately before you begin work.
Punch in/out for any departure from work for non-work-related reasons.
Transfer punch when required to do so.
Punch out when you end work.
Submit your time sheet at the end of each week.
eVero: Some staff, including self-hired staff, will record hours worked through eVero software. Employees will punch in and out using the mobile eVero app.
Employees must accurately record all hours worked. They must immediately report time-record errors to their supervisor or, for self-hired staff, the Self-Direction Payroll Department. Questions about
