| 2. Guide development form | Question 2A. Does the land form defensible boundaries along its edges that defines or would influence the pattern of development or is there an alternative? | Answer 2A: The M1 along the East of the land forms a defensible boundary in this location. The settlement of Lubbesthorpe has not yet been completed however the extent of this will form the boundaries of much of northern edges of the land. While clearly defined, these mainly follow field boundaries are there are no specific physical features that would bolster the boundary further in these locations. Along the Western edge the boundary also follows field boundaries, which have established trees and hedgerows in parts. Lubbesthorpe Brook also runs along part of this although there are not other more defensible physical features present. |
| Overall Assessment for Purpose 2 | The land has a mix of clearly defined defensible boundaries in the form of the existing motorways, and defined but less defensible boundaries in the form of field boundaries and |
