The River Soar provides a continuous link southwards with its associated Flood Zones and undevelopable area, maintaining the Green Wedge function of the land.

• Overall Assessment for Purpose 3 The land includes a clear pattern of accessible green undeveloped grass fields which host a network of established tree and hedgelines along their boundaries, connecting to the areas to the north and South and the edges of the built up area to the West established.
