HUN013

The site is located outside the Area of Separation however extends the existing settlement southwards. It would not extend further eastwards and diminish the gap between the settlements.

The impacts are not considered to have a significant effect on the land's contribution to the Area of Separation.

HUN019

The site is located outside the Area of Separation however extends the existing settlement northwards. Some parts of the site may extend further eastwards than the existing settlement although not by a large amount in comparison to the size of the existing gap between settlements.

The impacts are not considered to have a significant effect on the land's contribution to the Area of Separation.

Cumulative Impact of Proposed Sites in Parcel:

The two sites are quite separate in character although significantly extend Huncote north and south. The Area of Separation between the settlements is largely unaffected however as is the overall gap beyond the designation.

Potential Direction of Area of Separation extension

While HUN013 and HUN019 do not significantly impact upon the gap between the settlements, potential extensions of the Area of Separation to the South and North over the agricultural fields may be appropriate to respond to these developments. This would preserve the space in relation to the new extent of the built-up area and help continue to preserve each settlement's character and identity.
