  • GLE032 may occupy a sizable portion of land in line with and to the northwest of the existing buildings at The Mill Lane. The area to the Southeast of the parcel would be retained however and is supported by the permanent feature of Rothley Brook running through the land.

Scoring Impact:

Negative impact on Purpose 1 (Prevent the Merging of Settlements). Development would reduce the area between settlements and be an interrupting feature in the wedge, however the presence of Rothley Brook and the remaining open undeveloped character of the land is considered to be sufficient for the parcel to maintain a moderate contribution to this purpose.

It is not considered the impacts of the development would be so significant as to alter the scoring for the other purposes.
