Question 3B. Does the land contain landscape or Green/Blue Infrastructure assets that should be retained? The established tree planting is a feature of interest however there are not specific benefits identified that this provides. The land falls within the Elmesthorpe Floodplain landscape character area.
Question 3C. Does the land contain historic assets that should be retained? No. There are no designated heritage assets located on the land.
Question 3D. Do any assets within the land connect to other infrastructure in other areas and help form a continuous green lung from the countryside into urban areas? No. The land itself has a relatively separate character from the countryside to the south due to the intervening A47. The trees on the site adjoin other boundary trees and hedgerows however the contribution to connecting to other areas is limited.
Overall Assessment for Purpose 3 The land does not include any formal assets to contribute towards the green lung function purpose and provides limited connectivity between the countryside and urban areas. Purpose score: Weak/Moderate contribution.
