WHEREAS, this agreement was previously assigned to Omni Tower, Inc., then Diamond Communication, LLC and now (currently) American Tower Investments, LLC (“American Tower”); and

WHEREAS, the Mayor has considered the need for the continuance of this lease agreement for leasing space within an existing shelter for housing Township radio communication equipment, as well as space on a communication tower for antennas and a microwave dish for the Township's radio communication system located at 1037 West Commodore Boulevard, also known as Block 2.01, Lot 8 on the Tax Map of the Township of Jackson; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor is requesting authorization for payment in the amount of $62,549.52 pursuant to the terms of said lease agreement.

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding is available for this purpose in the CY 2016 Temporary Operating Budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey does hereby authorize the payment in the amount of $62,549.52 for the continuation of an annual lease agreement with American Tower for leasing space within an existing shelter for housing Township radio communication equipment, as well as space on a communication tower for antennas and a microwave dish for the Township's radio communication system located at 1037 West Commodore Boulevard, also known as Block 2.01, Lot 8.

A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Township Administrator, Chief Financial Officer, Purchasing Department and any other interested parties.

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety has requested approval for the award of a One Year Maintenance contract for the Police Department’s CAD System; and

WHEREAS, Enforsys NJ, Inc., the vendor awarded the CAD System project, has provided a proposal for the Police System Software Application Maintenance Contract; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Chief of Police have considered the need for an annual maintenance contract for the CAD System; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety is requesting authorization to award and execute this contract in the amount of $36,000.00 with Enforsys NJ, Inc. pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5 (dd) (i.e. “Exceptions”); and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding is available for this purpose in the CY 2016 Temporary Operating Budget.
