Fair Share

• Schools may experience a significant mismatch between the notional SEN budget and their actual cost of SEN support due to various reasons.
• Fair Share attempts to elevate some of that pressure by providing additional funding to schools going into deficit and using more than 60% of their notional send budget to meet element 2 of EHCP pupils (including out-of-borough pupils).
• The spend over 60% is given as a supplement. This ensures that at least 40% of the Notional SEN budget is available for pupils with SEN support.
