NOTE: Dubuque County is a designated exempt entity as authorized by Iowa Code 422.42(15)(16) and 422.47(5). The Contractor is eligible to receive an exemption from the State of Iowa Sales Tax and Local Option Tax. Dubuque County expects the Contractor to obtain the sales tax exemption. State of Iowa Sales Tax shall not be included in the bid. The Contractor will be provided with a Certificate and "authorized letter" which may be used to purchase materials used on the specific contract without paying sales tax. Unit bids must be typed or shown in ink or the bid will be rejected.
“The Iowa Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction, series 2023, plus the General Supplemental Specifications; and applicable Supplemental Specifications, Developmental Specifications, and Special Provisions, shall apply to construction on this project.”
