RESOLUTION NUMBER: 330R-22

TITLE: AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF OUTFITTING OF NEW POLICE VEHICLES FROM ELITE VEHICLE SOLUTIONS, AN APPROVED STATE CONTRACT VENDOR, IN THE AMOUNT OF $309,275.75

WHEREAS, the Police Department is in need of outfitting the new police vehicles; and

WHEREAS, said equipment is available from Elite Vehicle Solutions, 1000 Bennett Blvd, Unit 6, Lakewood, NJ 08701, an approved New Jersey State Contract Vendor, under Contract Number T-0106/17-FLEET-00749; and

WHEREAS, the equipment is outlined within the attached Schedule “A”, which consists of Estimate Number C07422 dated 7-12-22; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists for this purpose in Account Number 2-01-25-240-000-051 ($10,944.45), 2-01-55-001-000-268 ($88,558.29) and Account Number C-04-55-843-000-129 ($209,773.01).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, that:

1. The Township Council hereby authorizes the purchase of outfitting the new police vehicles per the attached Schedule “A” from approved State Contract vendor Elite Vehicle Solutions in the amount of $309,275.75 with a properly executed purchase order.
2. Copies of this resolution to Elite Vehicle Solutions, Sgt. Vincent Rubio, Purchasing Department, and any other interested parties.
