RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON TOWNSHIP OWNED PROPERTIES

WHEREAS, The Township acquired Block 16601 Lot 9 on 8/4/2023 will be exempt for 2023 taxes, and;

WHEREAS, the taxes listed below need to be cancelled for 2023 and the 2024 Preliminary taxes need to be removed as well until the parcels are listed as exempt in the 2024 tax duplicate.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

1. The Tax Collector is directed to cancel the taxes listed below for 2023 and remove the 2024 preliminary taxes on Township owned parcels.
2. The parcels are to be listed as exempt in the 2024 tax duplicate.

Block 16601 Lot 9 – 2023 Taxes $2,026.03 & 2024 Prelim Taxes $2,569.09
