Stormwater Management Report South Hope Chapel Rd. Subdivision Project #23184

  1. The use of stormwater management measures that are smaller in size and distributed spatially throughout a parcel, rather than the use of a single, larger stormwater management measure, shall be required;
  2. The project proposes multiple small scale stormwater management measures which are distributed throughout the site which each drain less than 2.5 acres.
  3. Methods of treating stormwater prior to entering any stormwater management measure shall be incorporated into the design of the stormwater management measure to the maximum extent practical;

The stormwater runoff will be pretreated. All of the site runoff to the small-scale infiltration basins will be pretreated using bioretention basins or porous pavement. All the roof runoff to the small-scale infiltration basins will be pretreated with leaf screens.

County ROW Improvements

South Hope Chapel Road is proposed to be widened along the project frontage. The proposed widening will add 6,402.44 sf of additional asphalt pavement and 1,861.45 sf of additional sidewalk on South Hope Chapel Road. An underground basin consisting of 60 linear feet of 24" perforated HDPE in South Hope Chapel Road is proposed to manage the increase in runoff. These basins are designed to fully infiltrate the increased runoff occurring during a 2-year storm, as per the County requirements.

Conclusion

The proposed development and stormwater management measures have been designed in compliance with the applicable Pinelands Commission regulations with regard to stormwater quantity, quality, and groundwater recharge requirements.
