This project is building a pedestrian overpass over SR 52 next to the Suncoast Parkway (SR 589) as part of the Suncoast Trail in Pasco County. A portion of the existing Suncoast Trail will be reconstructed to connect the trail to the pedestrian overpass at SR 52. A street-level crossing will remain available for pedestrians and bicyclists to cross SR 52. Short-duration pedestrian detours are planned when work overhead is in progress. The trail is expected to remain open to users throughout construction.
Construction is underway as of January 5, 2026.
