reimburse the county, county agencies and municipalities located within the county due to economic damage caused to them by the Coronavirus; and

WHEREAS, the County of Ocean wishes to dedicate a portion of said funding to reimburse the Township of Jackson for COVID-19 related costs and expenses through the OCCARES Grant Program; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Township Council wish to accept said funding; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, this 28th day of July, 2020, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey as follows:

• 1. The Council hereby authorizes the execution of an agreement between the Township of Jackson and the County of Ocean for the OCCARESGrant.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Township Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute any and all necessary documents in order to implement the intent of this Resolution.

WHEREAS, the Police Department has requested approval for the purchase of two (2) vehicles from Beyer Ford, an approved ESCNJ Co-Op Vendor:

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson, pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A:11-12a and N.J.A.C. 5:34-7.29(c) may by resolution and without advertising for bids, purchase any goods or services under the ESCNJ Cooperative Purchasing Program; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists and is available for this purpose, in account number 0-01-55-001-000-268; and

WHEREAS, the Township Council has considered the Police Department’s need for the above vehicles; and

• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
• That the Township Council does hereby authorize the purchase of the above referenced vehicles with options in an amount not to exceed $57,013.60 from Beyer Ford, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960, an approved ESCNJ Co-Op Vendor #65MCESCCPS – ESCNJ 17/18-21, which contract term expires 9/14/2020, with a properly executed purchase order.
