State Road 434 at County Road 427 (Ronald Reagan Boulevard)

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is improving operations at the intersection of State Road (S.R.) 434 and County Road (C.R.) 427 (Ronald Reagan Boulevard) by constructing additional turn lanes and other intersection improvements.

The project begins at South Milwee Street and extends to just west of South Oleander Street. Improvements include dual left-turn lanes for eastbound and westbound traffic on S.R. 434 turning onto C.R. 427, as well as a new right-turn lane for eastbound S.R. 434 traffic turning onto southbound C.R. 427.

Bike lanes will also be added on S.R. 434 from South Milwee Street to C.R. 427, along with minor drainage, sidewalk, and signalization improvements.

This project is being constructed with another project that will improve the intersections of State Road (S.R.) 434 and Rangeline Road, Grant Street, and Wayman Street (FPID No. 443838-1).

During construction, motorists can expect intermittent lane closures between 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. The existing posted speed limit along the corridor will remain in effect during construction.

Electronic message boards and other signage will direct traffic through the work zone. Levels of work activity and noise will vary during different construction phases. Motorists should anticipate areas of uneven pavement within the project limits, a common condition during construction when the contractor applies multiple asphalt layers in phases. Many of these roadway conditions are short-term and will gradually improve as the project progresses.
