3. ORGANISATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1. COMPETENT PERSONS

All employers are required under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 to appoint a competent health and safety advisor.

The Group have appointed external, specialist consultants to provide competent advice to the business.

3.3. HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

3.3.1. THE BOARD

The Board have overall responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all employees, residents, contractors and other persons who may be affected by the Group's activities. The Board will be responsible for ensuring that:

• The Group has an appropriate written statement of policy on health and safety and effective arrangements for the implementation of that policy.
• Health and safety is resourced, and managed in accordance with the Group's legal requirements and moral obligations.
• The Group's health and safety performance is monitored by the board on an annual basis and from time to time when any specific issues arise.
