Identify significant risks
Prioritise measures which need to be taken and remain valid for a reasonable length of time.
Risk assessments will be completed by Line Managers who have received the necessary training in risk assessing, and external consultants for particularly hazardous activities.
The Group will ensure that significant hazards associated with work activities are suitably assessed and controlled with the significant findings relayed to all employees and other personnel who may be affected by the Groups undertakings.
The risk assessments are intended to be working documents which can be used to guide future action aimed at improving health and safety within Hastoe.
Certain workplace activities will require written safe systems of work/method statements to be completed for specific work activities such as gardening and cleaning. Line Managers will be responsible for ensuring safe systems of work/method statements are in place for all relevant employees.
