To The City of Fort Lauderdale:
We are requesting a DRC for the installation of a projecting sign at 110 SE 6th Street Unit 130 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. Our RAC signage UDP-PDMR-2522 was approved for DRC.
Several other tenants in the same building currently have projecting signs installed, all of which were approved through a Special Administrative Approval process. These existing signs establish a clear precedent and demonstrate that a projecting sign is appropriate for the property, compatible with the building façade, and consistent with the visual character of the surrounding area.
Our requested sign is intended to provide adequate visibility for customers, improve wayfinding, and maintain uniformity with the other businesses on the property. Without this DRC approval, our business would be at a significant disadvantage compared to neighboring tenants who benefit from increased visibility through their projecting signage. Existing- zero signs. Propose-one projection sign on the building.
Code 47-22.4.C.13.d-.
Flags shall be permitted and shall be limited in number to one (1) flag for each fifteen (15) lineal feet of street frontage per building site.
Please note: The photos are a replacement for the survey per the RAC meeting.
For these reasons, we respectfully request approval of the DRC to allow installation of the proposed projecting sign.
