RESOLUTION 106R-03 (TABLED) TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 7 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN JACKSON TOWNSHIP AND EAGLE CONSTRUCTION FOR “NEW ROOF & HVAC SYSTEM” OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING DECREASING THE CONTRACT BY (-$2,065.00) TO AN ADJUSTED AMOUNT OF $917,596.00

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously awarded a contract to Eagle Construction and approved previous Change Orders for a current contract amount of $919,661.00 for the project entitled “New Roof & HVAC Replacement” for the Jackson Township Municipal Building; and

WHEREAS, as a result of the need for the following, Township Architect, Robert Krieger has recommended approval of Change Order No. 7 decreasing the contract by ($2,065.00):

ADD:

  1. ADD: 1. Remove masonry parapet wall at high roof to permit New roof valley framing ..... = $2,192.00

CREDIT:

  1. 2. Delete unused portion of $15,000.00 allowance for additional work: =($4,257.00)

TOTAL THIS CREDIT CHANGE ORDER #7:.....($2,065.00)

WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this governing body to act upon the Architect’s recommendation to approve Change Order No. 7; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

  1. That the Township Committee of Jackson Township hereby formally approves Change Order No. 7 to the contract between Jackson Township and Eagle Construction decreasing the contract price by ($2,065.00) to an adjusted contract price of $917,596.00
  2. That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to Township Architect, Township Administrator, Chief Financial Officer and Eagle Construction.
