  6. TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 5 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN JACKSON TOWNSHIP AND EAGLE CONSTRUCTION FOR “NEW ROOF & HVAC SYSTEM” OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING INCREASING THE CONTRACT BY $1,096.00 TO AN ADJUSTED AMOUNT OF $921,177.00

  8. WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously awarded a contract to Eagle Construction and approved previous Change Orders for a current contract amount of $920,081.00 for the project entitled “New Roof & HVAC Replacement” for the Jackson Township Municipal Building; and
  9. WHEREAS, as a result of the need for three (3) additional light fixtures in the attic mechanical space, Township Architect, Robert Krieger has recommended approval of Change Order No. 5 increasing the contract by $1,096.00, and;
  10. WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funds exist for payment of this Change Order No. 5; in the Capital Budget, Account #X-04-55-973-901 and
  11. WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this governing body to act upon the Architect’s recommendation to approve Change Order No. 5; and
  12. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
  13. That the Township Committee of Jackson Township hereby formally approves Change Order No. 5 to the contract between Jackson Township and Eagle Construction increasing the contract price by $1,096.00 to an adjusted contract price of $921,177.00
  14. That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to Township Architect, Township Administrator, Chief Financial Officer and Eagle Construction.
