RESOLUTION 103R-03 (TABLED) TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN JACKSON TOWNSHIP AND EAGLE CONSTRUCTION FOR “NEW ROOF & HVAC SYSTEM” OF JACKSON TOWNSHIP MUNICIPAL BUILDING INCREASING THE CONTRACT BY $16,686.00 TO AN ADJUSTED AMOUNT OF $920,081.00

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously awarded a contract to Eagle Construction and approved previous Change Orders for a current contract amount of $903,395.00 for the project entitled “New Roof & HVAC Replacement” for the Jackson Township Municipal Building; and

WHEREAS, as a result of the need for temporary air conditioning units, Township Architect, Robert Krieger has recommended approval of Change Order No. .4 increasing the contract by $16,686.00, and;

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funds exist for payment of this Change Order No. 4 IN THE capital Budget, Account #X-04-55-973-902; and

WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this governing body to act upon the Architect’s recommendation to approve Change Order No. 4; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

That the Township Committee of Jackson Township hereby formally approves Change Order No. 4 to the contract between Jackson Township and Eagle Construction increasing the contract price by $16,686.00 to an adjusted contract price of $920,081.00
