TITLE: AUTHORIZE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON AND THOMAS J. ERTLE FOR PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYING SERVICES FOR CY 2003

WHEREAS, there is a need for the Township to appoint a Professional Land Surveyor to assist the Township in land surveying services regarding property acquisition or property sale; and
WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq.) requires that the Notice of a resolution authorizing the award for “Professional Services: without competitive bids must be publicly advertised; and
WHEREAS, the maximum amount of this contract is undetermined at this time;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
That Thomas J. Ertle & associates, LLC, 702 Brewers Bridge Road, Jackson, NJ is hereby appointed to the position of Professional Land Surveyor to prepare surveys for the Township of Jackson at the discretion of the Township Committee with an appointment date of February 10, 2003 through December 31, 2003.
This appointment is made without competitive bidding for “Professional Services” to be performed by a person authorized by law to practice a recognized profession
The Mayor and Township Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and deliver a contract to said appointee.
A Notice of this appointment shall be advertised as required by law.
That upon the adoption of this resolution, the Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to the Administrator, Chief Financial Officer and Thomas Ertle.
