The Tax Sale Advertising has been done with the Asbury Park Press in the past; to be more cost effective, the Tri-Town News will be used this year provided that the only criteria is that it be a local paper. Areas to be looked at include if these ads have to be in an official newspaper and in the County. If the Tri-Town cannot be used, they will use the Observer. Training Aid has been increased to $1,875.00 from $1,000.00, as two staff members will be taking two courses. Mr. Campbell said the largest item in the Budget is the Contractual Services for Foreclosures. Ones in progress will continue as started, the next phase will begin at the end of the year in order to make payment next year. This year's tax collection percentage was 97.42; if there were no Township liens, it would have been in the 97.7% range. Contractual Services has been increased by $25,000.00 for New Jersey Professional Management. Office Equipment is up to $215,000.00 as the new trailers will be equipped with all new furnishings. Lily Ann Farley said this is not paid for through the tax payers, it is through this department’s fees; by law they are permitted to use 12% of what has been collected annually. Upon Mr. Sodl’s arrival, he gave an overview of the proposed budget. They discussed that while the Travel Allowance Account has not been used for two year, $25 will remain in it in order to keep the line item available for future use. In discussing the Clothing & Uniform account, Mr. Sodl explained that last year summer jackets were purchased, this year winter jackets would be purchased. After analyzing the spending history of this account, it was determined that this account will remain at $1,500. Emergency funds will be allocated in the event that hours will be increased in accordance to State recommendations for areas such as Fire Prevention and Plan Review. Whether or not this will take place will be determined by the consultant as well as hiring additional staff.",
