RESOLUTION 371R-16
TITLE: AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 069R-16 AUTHORIZING PURCHASES FROM APPROVED NEW JERSEY STATE CONTRACT VENDORS WHEREBY INCREASING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS FROM $5,000.00 TO $60,000.00
WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson, as a contracting unit may, without advertising for bids, purchase any materials, supplies, services or equipment under any contract or contracts entered into by the NJ Division of Purchase and Property in the Department of the Treasury, for such materials, supplies, services or equipment pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12; and
WHEREAS, purchases/services made utilizing state contracts meet the requirements of using a fair and open process; and
WHEREAS, the Township Council approved purchases/services from authorized State contract vendors on January 19, 2016 by way of Resolution No. 069R-16; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Purchasing is seeking approval to increase the amount previously approved for Wireless Communications and Electronics (State Contract #T0109/83909 effective 5/1/13 through 4/30/18) from $5,000.00 to $60,000.00 as follows:
Police Department - vehicle communication equipment and accessories $49,500.00
Anticipated equipment purchases for 10,500.00 remainder of CY 2016
TOTAL: $60,000.00
; and
WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this Township Council to approve the request of the Division of Purchasing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey does hereby approve an increase to the amount previously established for Wireless Communications and Electronics (from $5,000.00 to $60,000.00). A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Municipal Administrator, Chief Financial Officer, Purchasing Department and any other interested parties.
