(Atlantic, Bergen, Cape May, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Union) for Category A (Debris Removal) and Category B (Emergency Protective Measures); and

WHEREAS, in a letter dated October 25, 2016, the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs has approved the application and subsequently awarded the Township of Jackson a grant award in the amount of $193,603.00; and

WHEREAS, in consideration of the promises and the mutual representations, warranties and covenants contained herein, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Parties hereby agree to the terms and conditions as set forth in the Subrecipient Agreement attached hereto and made part hereof as “Schedule A”.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute and the Township Clerk to attest to the Subrecipient Agreement between the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and the Township of Jackson (Subrecipient) to fund the “Non-Federal Cost Share Program under the Superstorm Sandy Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery Assistance” in the amount of $193,603.00.
2. A certified copy of this resolution and executed copy of the agreement shall be forwarded to Administration, Chief Financial Officer, Patricia Schwark and any other interested parties.

TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE RENEWAL OF AMUSEMENT GAMES LICENSE TO SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE FOR CY 2017

WHEREAS, Six Flags – Great Adventure has applied for a renewal of its amusement games license for those games listed on the attached “Schedule A” in accordance with Jackson Code Chapter 92, et seq.; and

WHEREAS, the premises being licensed in Block 3101, Lot 11 is located in a recognized amusement park with the Township of Jackson; and

WHEREAS, the proper fee has been paid; the appropriate investigation has been conducted by the Township and there is no objection to the renewal of these licenses.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. The amusement game licenses as listed on “Schedule A’ which is annexed hereto for the premises located on Block 3101, Lot 11 are hereby authorized to be renewed to the applicant, Six Flags – Great Adventure, for a term commencing January 1, 2017 and terminating December 31, 2017.
2. A certified copy of this resolution shall be transmitted together with copy of application and license certificate issued to the Commission of Amusement Game Control, the applicant and any other interested party.
