Guarantee applicable to the entire project in letter report dated October 25, 2016, which letter report is made a part hereof; and

WHEREAS, the Township Council of the Township of Jackson has considered the applicant’s request and the report of the Engineer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, that the Restoration Bond, which consists of Performance Bond No. 5019017 in the amount of $73,350.00 issued by Bond Safeguard Insurance Company and a Cash Bond in the amount of $8,150.00, pertaining to Pine Knoll Manor, a/k/a Block 9.01 Lots 170 & 171 posted with the Township of Jackson is hereby released due to due to the posting of a Performance Guarantee applicable to the entire project.

TITLE: REJECT BIDS RECEIVED FOR “EMERGENCY AND NON-EMERGENCY ROAD, STORM SEWER & INFRASTRUCTURE WORK” AND AUTHORIZE THE RE-ADVERTISEMENT AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS FOR SAME

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously advertised for the receipt of bids for “Emergency & Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer and Infrastructure Work” on October 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.; and

WHEREAS, at the time and place for the receipt of bids, the following vendors submitted proposals consisting of unit pricing for this work:

Bil-Jim Construction

Mark Woszczak Mechanical Contractors

Fiore Paving

WHEREAS, upon the review of said bids, Veronica Dingle, Purchasing Agent, is requesting authorization to reject all bids received pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2(d) as noted below:

  1. The Purchasing Agent has determined to significantly modify the original bid specifications resulting in the need to re-advertise for the receipt of bids utilizing amended specifications.
  2. ; and
  3. WHEREAS, it is now the desire of this Township Council to act upon the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent to reject above bids and authorize the re-advertisement and acceptance of same utilizing amended bid specifications.
  4. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, as follows:
  5. The bids received for “Emergency & Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer and Infrastructure Work” are hereby rejected.
  6. The Township Council hereby authorizes the re-advertisement and acceptance of bids (date undetermined) for “Emergency & Non-Emergency Road, Storm Sewer and Infrastructure Work” utilizing amended bid specifications.
