NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. The Tax Collector is directed to cancel taxes as follows:
  2. 2018 - 3,255.77 2019 - 4,244.13 – 1st half 2019 taxes until parcel is formally exempt
  3. The Tax Collector is directed to process a refund for any overpayment due to the cancellation of taxes.
  4. The parcel is to be exempted on the 2019 tax list.

  10. WHEREAS, The Department of Veteran Affairs determined that Harold Boylston at 33 Aiden Lane, Block 17201 Lot 3.08, has a service connected disability that is totally disabling effective 5/31/18 and has owned the above listed parcel since 10/20/18; and
  11. WHEREAS, the property owner has made application to the Township as a totally disabled veteran, which has been approved by the Municipal Assessor on 11/7/18; and
  12. WHEREAS, it is Township policy to grant the exemption for the current year, and up to two preceding years.
  13. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  15. 2018 - $1,947.50 2019 - $4,868.75 – 1^{st} half 2019 taxes until parcel is formally exempt
  16. The Tax Collector is directed to process a refund for any overpayment due to the cancellation of taxes.
