known as “CY 2018 Pavement Spot Repairs” resulting in an adjusted contract price in the amount of $13,789.48.
2. That upon the adoption of the within resolution, the Township Clerk is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of it to the Township Engineer, Daniel Burke, Township Administrator, Chief Financial Officer, Purchasing Department, Shore Top Construction and any other interested parties.

WHEREAS, the Jackson Justice Complex Court Room and Court Administrative Offices suffered water damage due to a roof leak that occurred on October 24, 2018 and November 24, 2018; and
WHEREAS, due to the severity of the damage, an emergency exists to immediately make repairs to the areas affected; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works issued a “Certification for Emergency Purchases” requesting the issuance of an emergency contract pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A:11-6; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A.40A:11-6 a contract may be negotiated or awarded for a contracting unit without public advertising for bids and bidding therefor, when an emergency affecting the public health, safety or welfare requires the immediate delivery of goods or the performance of services; and
WHEREAS, Rapid Recovery submitted the following estimates (copies attached) for repairs to the areas affected as follows:

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists for this purpose in Account Number C-04-55-832-005-919 an amount not to exceed $27,585.73; and
WHEREAS, an insurance claim was submitted for this property loss (Court Room and Court Administrative Offices).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey do hereby authorize the execution of an emergency contract between the Township of Jackson and Rapid Recovery Services, LLC in an amount not to exceed $27,585.73 for repairs to the Justice
