AMBASSADORS
The Pasadena Youth Ambassador Program began in 2001 to provide job experience to high school students through participation at special events held by both non-profit and for-profit organizations in the City of Pasadena. The program provides youth with the opportunity to gain valuable skills by exposing them to various experiences such as being docents, attending conferences, planning events, and being a spokesperson for the program. In addition, Ambassadors are City employees and active members of their community.
Ambassador Program opportunities include:
• Pasadena Art Night
FAFSA, Scholarship, and College Training
Ronald McDonald's House of Charity – Walk for Kids
Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K
Partnerships with multiple City departments & local non-profits
Program Benefits:
Exposes students to new experiences and opportunities
Builds confidence
Creates leadership skills
Allows teens to become part of the alumni network
Program Requirements:
Age range: 14 - 18
Attend a high school in Pasadena
Maintain a 2.5 GPA
Must have access to email and internet

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY CENTER
The San Gabriel Valley LGBTQ Center is a California Non-Profit Corporation, 501(c)(3), founded in 2011. Our mission is to promote a safe and inclusive San Gabriel Valley for people of all orientations and gender identities. We aim to enrich the lives of LGBTQ+ San Gabriel Valley residents by:
Fostering advocacy, education, and respect for individuals
Encouraging cultural diversity, healthy living, and full achievement of personal potential
Improving the overall visibility of the SGV LGBTQ community within the general population
Providing locally available, culturally competent programs and services
Promoting interconnection amongst the SGV LGBTQ community
All of this amazing work exists to celebrate and protect the lives of Queer and Transgender people across the San Gabriel Valley
