RESOLUTION 347R-04

TITLE: AUTHORIZE NEGOTIATED CONTRACT AWARD TO GILLIGAN & NARDINI ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, INC. FOR ELECTRICAL REPAIR SERVICES FOR A TWO-YEAR PERIOD

WHEREAS, Jackson Township previously advertised for bids for electrical repair services on two occasions, on August 13, 2003 and on September 8, 2003; and

WHEREAS, zero (0) bids were received on both attempts;

WHEREAS, the Township Committee authorized the Department of Public Works to solicit negotiated contract prices for the services in Resolution #447R-03; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has negotiated an acceptable contract price and now recommends the award of a contract to Gilligan & Nardini Electrical Contractors, Inc. for electrical repair services for a two-year period commencing October 1, 2003 and ending October 1, 2005; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that a maximum amount of $15,000.00 is available in the 2004 Operating Budget under Account #4-01-26-310-029.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean and State of New Jersey, as follows:

  1. The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with Gilligan & Nardini Electrical Contractors, Inc. for electrical services for a two-year period from October 1, 2003 through October 1, 2005, in accordance with the contract prices negotiated by the Department of Public Works attached hereto as “Schedule A”.
  2. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of the Department of Public Works and Gilligan & Nardini Electrical Contractors, Inc.
