AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF BLOCK 17201, LOTS 10 & 11, FROM NONNA SLAVYNSKA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH N.J.S.A. 40A:12-5(a)(1)

MOTION TO APPROVE ORDINANCE 15-09 ON SECOND READING, ADVERTISE THE APPROVAL AND NOTICE OF PASSAGE AND APPROVAL IN AN APPROVED NEWSPAPER AS REQUIRED BY LAW BY: MARTIN MOTION SECONDED BY: UPDEGRAVE YES: MARTIN, TILIS, UPDEGRAVE, RIVERE & KAFTON
WHEREAS, Nonna Slavynska is the assessed owner of Block 17201, Lots 10 & 11; and
WHEREAS, Nonna Slavynska wishes to donate the subject property to the Township of Jackson; and
WHEREAS, said owner requests that the Township waive past due taxes on the parcels in the amount of $267.86 and $265.85, respectively; and
WHEREAS, Block 17201, Lot 11, consists of 1.24 acres, and Block 17201, Lot 10, consists of 1.17 acres; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:125(a)(1) authorizes a municipality to accept property as a gift by the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the acquisition of the same.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, and State of New Jersey, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the governing body does hereby authorize the acquisition of Block 17201, Lots 10 & 11, from Nonna Slavynska. This property is
