The alternatives to the proposed project are "no build" which would deny each property owner the lawful use of the land as permitted by Jackson Township Master Plan and Zoning Regulations.

The stormwater management system meets the criteria for green infrastructure, water quality, groundwater recharge and flood control. All alternative design alternatives were investigated in consideration of the existing site limitations (i.e. depth to groundwater, topography). The proposed design provides the best stormwater management.

After reviewing a variety of alternatives permitted under the Land Use Ordinances, it was determined that the project, as proposed, will have a lessened impact on the site, surrounding properties and the Township as a whole. The mitigating measures included in the site design should offset any potential adverse impact associated with the project.
