WHEREAS, Jackson Township PBA Local 168, has applied to the Township of Jackson for a Social Affairs Permit pursuant to N. J. S. A. 33:1-74 and N. J. A. C. 13:2-5.1; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Social Affairs Permit is to allow Jackson Township PBA Local 168 to sell alcoholic beverages during the Jackson Day event to be held at Johnson Memorial Park on September 14th 2025 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; and
WHEREAS, N. J. S. A. 33:1-74 and N.J.A.C. 13:2-5.1 authorize the issuance of Social Affairs Permits to bona fide non-profit organizations, allowing them to sell, serve, and distribute alcoholic beverages for consumption at special events; and
WHEREAS, the Township has reviewed the application, certified that there is no objection to the applicant's application, and believes that the event will be conducted in a manner that will not adversely affect the public health, safety, and welfare; and.
WHEREAS, the issuance of this permit is contingent upon compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to the rules and regulations of the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) as outlined in N.J.A.C. 13:2-5.1; and
WHEREAS, Jackson Township PBA Local 168 agrees to adhere to all guidelines and requirements as set forth by the ABC, including but not limited to the lawful sale, distribution, and consumption of alcoholic beverages at the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, New Jersey that:
