# TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 272-2025
## RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON AND EASTERN ATLANTIC STATES REGIONAL COUNCIL OF CARPENTERS
WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson from time to time employs various members of the trades on an as needed temporary basis to supplement its existing workforce for various projects within Jackson Township; and
WHEREAS, the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters has in their ranks, numerous individuals who are qualified to perform such services; and
WHEREAS, the Township wishes to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters for it to perform maintenance, repairs and/or construction labor on a temporary as needed basis as may be required by Jackson Township.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED this 26th day of August, 2025 by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. The Mayor, Township Clerk and such other officials as may be deemed necessary are hereby authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding attached hereto as Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the following:
1. Michael Reina, Mayor
2. Lavon Phillips, Township Administrator
3. Sandra Martin, Township Clerk
4. Gregory P. McGuckin, Township Attorney
5. Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters
