TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 173-2025

AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF INVOICE FOR THE NEW JERSEY LAW ENFORCEMENT YOUTH ACADEMY – SUMMER 2025 SESSION (JACKSON EXPLORER PROGRAM)

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson supports youth engagement in law enforcement educational programs through participation in the New Jersey Law Enforcement Youth Academy, also known locally as the Jackson Explorer Program; and

WHEREAS, the Township has received an invoice for the Summer 2025 session of the Youth Academy for the registration of ten (10) youth participants and four (4) adult participants, totaling $11,100.00; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. The Chief Financial Officer is hereby authorized and directed to process payment in the total amount of $11,100.00 for the registration of participants in the New Jersey Law Enforcement Youth Academy – Summer 2025 Session, using the designated fund allocations.
2. That a certificate of availability of funds executed by the Chief Financial Officer is annexed hereto. The following are the line-item appropriations or ordinances which constitute the availability of funds for this contract:
3. $4,238.76 from the Trust Fund, Account No. T-12-56-851-000-825; and
4. $6,861.24 from the Police Youth Academy Funds
3. Copies of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Chief of Police, the Police Department, and the Chief Financial Officer.
