## ASSIGNING A PROJECT TO TOWNSHIP ENGINEERS T&M ASSOCIATES TO CONDUCT STUDY, PREPARE NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION AND COORDINATE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMERICAL VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS FOR HURLEY ROAD

WHEREAS, the Jackson Township Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau has suggested the designation of a weight limit by ordinance for Hurley Road (variable width Township Right-of-Way (ranging from 33-50 ft. wide) from Wright-Debow Road to the Freehold Township border, approximately 2,900 ft. in length), which would still allow for local deliveries to be made; and

WHEREAS, there exists a need for engineering services for the conducting a study, preparing necessary documentation and coordinating development of commercial vehicle restrictions for Hurley Road; and

WHEREAS, after a fair and open process, T&M Associates was appointed as Township Engineer to provide engineering services during 2025 and has provided a proposal for the services needed for the Hurley Road project by T&M Associates correspondence dated April 11, 2025, attached hereto and made a part hereof as Schedule A.; and

WHEREAS, T&M Associates has the ability and knowledge to perform those services required and necessary by the Township; and

WHEREAS, the Township desires to assign the required engineering services project to T&M Associates.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. That T&M Associates is hereby assigned to perform engineering services in regard to the conducting a study, preparing necessary documentation and coordinating development of commercial vehicle restrictions for Hurley Road in an amount not to exceed $8,500.00, in accordance with the T&M Associates correspondence dated April 11, 2025, attached hereto and made a part hereof as Schedule A.

2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.

3. That a certified copy of this resolution shall be provided by the Township Clerk to the Chief Financial Officer and T&M Associates.
