JACKSON TOWNSHIP RESOLUTION 151-2025

RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP COUNCIL AUTHORIZING TEMPORARY APPROPRIATIONS

WHEREAS, the total emergency temporary resolutions adopted in the year 2025 pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 96, P.L. 1951 (N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20) including this resolution total $7,759,362.03

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the Township of Jackson, that in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20, the Chief Financial Officer be authorized to make the following emergency temporary budget appropriations in the 2025 current fund temporary budget and that said amounts be included under the correct headings in the municipal budget as adopted.

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 permits a municipality to authorize Emergency Temporary Appropriations pending adoption of the Municipal Budget provided that said appropriations are included in the budget as adopted and provided said appropriations are authorized by a resolution adopted by not less than two-thirds of the full membership of the Governing Body; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has recommended that these Temporary Emergency Appropriations be authorized.

• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, in the County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:
• The Emergency Temporary Appropriations as set forth in the ‘Schedule’ attached is hereby authorized for the year 2025.
• This Resolution has been adopted by a vote of not less than two-thirds of the full membership of the Township Council.
• The said Emergency Temporary Appropriations will be provided for the 2025 Municipal Budget under the appropriate accounts.
• The Municipal Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Chief Financial Officer.
• That one certified copy of this resolution be filed with the Director of Local Government Services, P.O. Box 803, Trenton, NJ 08625-0803 by the Chief Financial Officer.
