RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, APPOINTING BETH-ELLEN GENCARELLI AS DEPUTY MUNICIPAL CLERK

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson (“Township”) has determined a need for a Deputy Municipal Clerk to assist in the functions and duties of the Municipal Clerk’s Office; and

WHEREAS, the Township has identified Ms. Beth-Ellen Gencarelli as a candidate possessing the necessary qualifications and experience to support the Clerk's Office in this capacity; and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135 authorizes the governing body of the Township to make appointments to the position of Deputy Municipal Clerk; and

WHEREAS, the Township wishes to appoint Ms. Beth-Ellen Gencarelli to the position of Deputy Municipal Clerk effective April 14, 2025, with an annual salary of $82,000.00.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. Ms. Beth-Ellen Gencarelli is hereby appointed as Deputy Municipal Clerk, effective April 14, 2025.
2. Ms. Beth-Ellen Gencarelli's annual salary as Deputy Municipal Clerk shall be $82,000.00.
3. Ms. Beth-Ellen Gencarelli shall be eligible for health care benefits as provided under the Township's employee benefits plan, and the standard waiting period for such benefits is hereby waived, making coverage effective as of the state date, April 14, 2025.
4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
5. A certified copy of this resolution shall be provided to Ms. Beth-Ellen Gencarelli and the Municipal Clerk.
