TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 135-2025 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, APPOINTING STEPHANIE MARLIN AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

WHEREAS, there exists a need to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for the Township of Jackson due to the expiration of the previous term; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Stephanie Marlin is duly qualified to be appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer; and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.10 provides that the Chief Financial Officer shall be appointed for a term of four years running from January 1 in the year in which the Chief Financial Officer is appointed; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the governing body to appoint Ms. Stephanie Marlin to serve as Chief Financial Officer for the Township of Jackson, effective January 1, 2025, for a term of four years in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A.40A:9-140.10.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the governing body of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. That the governing body does hereby appoint Stephanie Marlin to the position of Chief Financial Officer to serve for a term of four years in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A.40A:9-140.10, said term commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2029.
  2. That Stephanie Marlin shall perform the duties and responsibilities of the position of Chief Financial Officer such as are set forth by State statute and the Municipal Code of the Township of Jackson and shall receive a prorated salary of $105,000.00 per annum in accordance with the Salary Ordinance of the Township of Jackson.
  3. That a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Mayor, the Township Auditor, Stephanie Marlin, and the Department of Community Affairs.
