# TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 193-2025
## REJECTING BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE TOWNSHIP'S PROPOSED CONNECTOR ROAD PROJECT, MUIRFIELD ROAD TO TILFORD STREET AND AUTHORIZING SAME TO BE READVERTISED
WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson advertised for the receipt of bids for the above-noted project, which bids were required to be submitted by 10:00 A.M. on May 21, 2025; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11-13.2, a municipality may reject bids if the purpose or provisions of the public bidding statute have not been complied with; and
WHEREAS, four bids were received but were transferred between departments, resulting in said bids being opened at approximately 10:15 A.M. In addition, a fifth bid was not located until 11:00 A.M., after the bids of four other bidders had been opened and publicly announced; and
WHEREAS, it appears the purposes and provisions of the Local Public Contracts Law requires the rejection of such bids; and
WHEREAS, to ensure compliance with these statutory provisions, the Township Engineer is hereby authorized to readvertise for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That all bids received on May 21, 2025, for this project are hereby rejected and the Township Engineer is authorized to readvertise for same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the following:
1. T&M Associates
2. Stephanie Marlin, CFO
3. Sandra Martin, RMC, CMR, Township Clerk
4. Gregory P. McGuckin, Township Attorney
5. Michael Reina, Mayor
6. Shawn Bolinsky, Township DPW/Stormwater Coordinator
