# RESOLUTION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON, COUNTY OF OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF PROJECT APPLICATION BY THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON FOR INCLUSION IN THE OCEAN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR CY 2025

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson wishes to submit the below listed project application for inclusion within the Ocean County Community Development Block Grant Program for CY 2025; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Township Council, after receipt of public input, has determined that the application submitted on behalf of the Township of Jackson shall consist of the following:

1. The CY 2025 Community Development Block Grant Application for the Township of Jackson will be for HUD Matrix Code 03E 570.201(c) Public Facilities and Improvements. Projects to be considered are as follows:

a. Automatic doors into Township buildings

b. ADA building upgrades

c. ADA depressed curbs, ramps, and walkway upgrades

WHEREAS, the approximate value of this grant is $160,000. Projects will be listed by priority based on availability of funds; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Township Council to adopt a resolution authorizing the submission of project applications and establishing a priority thereto.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, as follows:

1. The submission of the above listed project on behalf of the Township of Jackson for inclusion within the Ocean County Community Development Block Grant Program for CY 2025 be and is hereby authorized.

2. Mayor Michael Reina and/or Samantha Novak, CDBG Representative, are hereby authorized to execute and the Clerk to attest to, the application for inclusion of the aforesaid project in the Community Development Block Grant Program application for CY 2025.

3. Certified copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Ocean County Planning Board, Municipal Administrator, Charles Cunliffe, Patricia Schwark and any other interested parties.
