TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON RESOLUTION 162-2026

AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF A GRADING LICENSE, KHAL HAMPSHIRE HILLS, INC., BLOCK 5202, LOT 1.01

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Chapter 244-166 of the Township Code, any applicant before a Township Land Use Board which seeks a soil removal permit for more than 1,000 cubic yards requires a grading license issued pursuant to Chapter 185-9 of the Township Code; and

WHEREAS, Khal Hampshire Hills, Inc., has previously received approval from the Jackson Township Planning Board for a proposed Synagogue for the property known as Lot 1.01 in Block 5202, which application proposes the export of 4,055 cubic yards of soil/fill material thereby requiring the grading license permit; and

WHEREAS, by letter dated May 15, 2026, the Township Engineer, T&M Associates has recommended to the Township Council that the grading license be issued subject to certain conditions as set forth in their correspondence of May 15, 2026.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED this 26th day of May, 2026 by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

  1. The Council hereby authorizes the issuance of a soil removal grading license in accordance with Chapters 244-166 and 185-9 of the Township Code, subject to the conditions set forth in the May 15, 2026 correspondence of Charles Cunliffe, PE, PP, CME.
