TITLE: AUTHORIZE AS-BUILT/CLOSE-OUT CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON AND MECO, INC. FOR THE PROJECT KNOWN AS “CY 2016 ROAD IMPROVEMENTS (VARIOUS ROADWAYS)” WHEREBY DECREASING THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY ($52,748.80) RESULTING IN AN ADJUSTED CONTRACT PRICE IN THE AMOUNT OF $568,151.70

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson previously awarded a contract to Meco, Inc. for the project known as “CY 2016 Road Improvements (Various Roadways)” in the amount of $620,900.50; and
WHEREAS, Township Engineer, Daniel Burke, has recommended the approval of As-Built/Close-Out Change Order No. 1 decreasing the contract by ($52,748.80) as a result of final as-built quantities (per attached “Schedule A”); and
WHEREAS, the approval of this As-Built/Close-Out Change Order #1 will result in the return of the performance guarantee posted for this project. The return of said performance guarantee will be contingent upon the posting and acceptance of the required Maintenance Guarantee, which will run for a period of one (1) year.
