TITLE: AMEND RESOLUTION 273R-21 AUTHORIZING THE COMPLETION TO PURCHASE ONE (1) FORD BRONCO VEHICLE IN THE AMOUNT OF $29,066.25 FROM BEYER FORD, AN APPROVED ESCNJ CO-OP VENDOR, FOR THE JACKSON TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Police Department had previously requested approval for the purchase of three (3) vehicles from Beyer Ford, an approved ESCNJ Co-Op Vendor from Resolution 273R-21; and

WHEREAS, the Police Department had only purchased two out of the three approved vehicles and now has a need to purchase the third vehicle and is requesting to complete the purchase of one (1) vehicle from Breyer Ford, an approved NJ Cooperative Pricing System Contract Vendor to include the 2022 quote pricing:

ITEM CO-OP NO. 1. One (1) 2022 Ford Bronco Sport #65MCESCCPS (R9B) Bid Bend 4 x 4 Effective 9/15/20 – 9/14/22 AMOUNT 700.28

AMOUNT $700.28

; and

WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that sufficient funding exists and is available for this purpose, in account number 2-01-55-001-000-268 for the remaining balance required for purchase; and

WHEREAS, the Township Council has considered the Police Department’s need for the above vehicle; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey as follows:

1. That the Township Council does hereby authorize the additional purchase price of the above-referenced vehicle in an amount not to exceed $700.25, Beyer Ford, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Morristown, NJ 07960, an approved ESCNJ Co-Op Vendor, #65MCESCCPS – Effective 9/15/20 – 9/14/22, which contract term expires 9/14/2022, with a properly executed purchase order.

2.A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Municipal Administrator, Chief of Police, Officer Rubio, Purchasing Department and any other interested parties.
