The lawsuit was based on comments by residents of the community and Mr. Hofstein wanted to know if any of these residents were deposed. Attorney McGuckin advised their comments are on the record. Council President Flemming told Mr. Hofstein that there are no updates, however there is movement in the funding formula and they are waiting. Mr. Hofstein asked about establishing school zones to keep busing limited to 1 or 2 areas. Council President Flemming stated that is part of the Master Plan which is redone every 10 years, and it will not change the schedule of the Master Plan.
ELENOR HANNUM- RESIDENT- After the last meeting, residents are not receiving the information and/or getting any responses from the Township. There are safety issues with regards to the illegal U-turns, idling illegally and speeding issues on Woodlane as children wait for their buses.
She addressed several concerns, such as, the Mayors duties from previous year, her OPRA extension, the lawsuit with Agudeth of Israel, and the meeting that was held with the LSTA.
Attorney Pohlman stated regarding the Agudeth litigation that the Mayor should not make comments about any individual in public that the Township is engaged in litigation with. BA Wall stated with regards to the traffic concerns, the Chief of Police and the Code Enforcement Supervisor Mr. Cheney is in attendance and will have the chance to comment on her traffic concern.

SUSAN COOPER- 22 WILLETTA DRIVE- Has been a resident of the town for 22 years loves Jackson. She is upset about the over building and wants it to stop. Ms. Cooper wants quality of life and persevere land.
Council President Flemming stated unfortunately anyone who owns a piece of land has the right to develop on their land. The upside is the residents of Jackson were gracious enough to grant 3 cents per 100 for Open Space funds. They do have money to buy land but the constraint with that is they can only buy it for the appraised value and the values of land in Jackson are high right now, and they are having trouble meeting the criteria and having trouble spending the money. They do hear the residents and they are trying to get the job done.

RICHARD CIUILO – 215 GRANT AVENUE SEASIDE HTS- Feels the meeting with LSTA and the attendance of the meeting would have been better if they had invited a member from the Board of Education and have a representative for the community. He feels that the Mayor had good intentions, however, the way that the meeting was handled, it was taken out of context. He addressed an OPRA request, and Attorney McGuckin stated the investigation was completed, however, it cannot be disclosed as it is a personnel matter.
