WHEREAS, by letter dated February 28, 2022, the Township’s Engineer, T&M Associates, has recommended to the Township that they award a Contract to Multi-Temp Mechanical, Inc., for this project; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Multi-Temp Mechanical, Inc., is both the lowest bidder and the lowest responsive bidder for this project;
WHEREAS, the cost of this project will be paid utilizing the remaining CDBG funds which had been previously awarded to the Township;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, this 8th day of March, 2022, by the Township Council of the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean in the State of New Jersey, as follows:
The Township hereby awards the Contract to Multi-Temp Mechanical, Inc., in the amount of $106,000.00 in accordance with the bid submitted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the award of this bid is conditioned upon the execution of an appropriate Contract between the Township and the bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Township Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to implement the intent of this Resolution, including an appropriate Contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the following:
Diane C. Festino, Township Clerk;
Terence Wall, Township Administrator;
Stephen Schreiber, P.E., C.M.E., Township Engineer;
Gregory P. McGuckin, Township Attorney;
All bidders.

TITLE: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO JAK CONSTRUCTION CORP., T/A DIAMOND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE TOWNSHIP'S "PUBLIC ACCESSIBILITY CONCRETE UPGRADES TO VARIOUS JACKSON TOWNSHIP BUILDINGS" PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Township of Jackson has previously advertised for and received bids for the project entitled, “Public Accessibility Concrete Upgrades to Various Jackson Township Buildings”; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications and advertisement, four (4) bids were received as follows:
Jak Construction Corp. T/A Diamond Construction.
Thor Construction Corp., LLC.
Earle Asphalt Company.
Gavan Contracting, Inc.
WHEREAS, by letter dated February 25, 2022, the Township Engineer, Stephen Schreiber, P.E. of T&M Associates, has recommended to the Township Council that they award the Contract to the lowest bidder, Jak Construction Corp., t/a Diamond Construction for the base bid in the total amount of $32,840.00; and
